"GREEN SOLUTIONS FOR INTER-BLOCK SPACE IN THE ŽELEZNIK DISTRICT"

The project focuses on improving the green areas and public spaces in the residential area of Zhelenik in Bulgaria. The project aims to create a more sustainable and attractive living environment for residents by implementing various green solutions and developing eco-friendly community spaces.

Nature and scope of the project
The project treats the improvement of the inter-block space in the building with identifier 68850.501.530, the city of Stara Zagora, as the goal of the project is the maximum greening of the terrain and reducing the effects of the "urban heat island".

Description of the project solution

The project treats a territory with a natural north-south slope, which also coincides with the main human flow. A park pedestrian zone is being built with all the elements of the park design.
Five leveled platforms have been formed along the terrain's elevation, and they are connected by pedestrian ramps and stairs, covered with a pavement of concrete pavers with a finishing layer of white crushed stone. On both sides of the central alley network, there are benches and playgrounds for children of different ages to play, as well as sports fields.
An irrigation system is being built for the entire area
Energy-efficient LED lighting is being built for the entire area
At the northern end of the terrain, there is a small shed, on the roof of which photovoltaic panels connected to a network for free public charging of small electronic devices are installed.
The parking lots from the south and west are paved with paving stones on a grass joint.
All sports and children's facilities are installed on a pavement with a grass joint.
All slopes and alley networks comply with "Regulation No. рд-02-20-2 of 26.01.2021 on determining the requirements for accessibility and universal design of elements of the accessible environment in the urbanized territory and of buildings and facilities "
